Thanks Ron, I have a black one thats just coming in bloom and my white one was in bloom during all the rain and I didn't get a pic. of it.

Yes Blue the 3rd one is blue but not quit that dark.

Sorry Lyn but I've had them for so long that I don't remember the names of any of them.

Hmm, wonder why they are called "widow's tears"? I have heard them called spiderwort too, but the latin is Tradescantia if I remember right. What gets my goat is that now they are renaming the latin names, so all of us who had to learn the latin names back when we had fresh young minds now have to try to forget what we learned and learn the new ones. Hmm.

You're right Jade they are also called spiderwort. My mother and grandmother always called them widows tears. Trandescantia is the latin name but I didn't know how to spell it. Names change over time and I will never learn the latin names of all the plants. At my age if I learned it today I would forget it tomorrow.:D

That is a very pretty peony!

Thanks, this is the first year they have bloomed and I've had them for years. I read somewhere that they wouldn't bloom if a walnut tree was nearby so about 2 years ago I moved them and they have really taken off. My white ones have to. I'm suprised the wind and rain didn't beat them down but they are still standing straight and tall.
