It's been hot and rainy....which makes a great steam bath lol I ran out in-between rain showers to take care of some weeds and slide on my rear as the grass was still wet.

Deadheading has always been a "as I have time" garden task. Honestly, I've never had a plant die from lack of deadheading so that puts it at a low priority. The biggest motivator for me is preventing prolific reseeding.

We had a few t-storms over the weekend. Cramped my gardening efforts a bit. The random storms will continue the next couple of days. Temps are high 70's to low 80's which would be ideal but for the storms lol. Oh yes, puppies get horrible cabin fever when they can't go run off energy outside!

I mainly use annuals in my hanging baskets and pots. Not so much in my garden beds. I have thrown out seeds to fill in while I wait for my perennials to fill in.

I love zinnias. They’re so drought tolerant and bees and hummers love them too. I switched from petunias to geraniums in my containers on my deck as they handle hot dry conditions better.
One fav of mine is gazanias and they’re hard to find around my area.
