Hi all sorry I have been gone for soooo long but life has thrown me some curveballs that I just had a REALLY hard time dealing with

the fibro has taken a turn for the ugly..even my face hurts now
and with the scorching heat we had in July and August along with my allergies I felt pretty miserable...

I was diagnosed as being bipolar this year..and that too has been a challenge..I went on a severe spending spree in March just to find out in the very first chapter of my bipolar workbook that extravegant spending is part of the disease
So I stopped shopping but did have a couple of set backs (nothing major)

June 28th I decided I needed to faint and fall backwards down the stairs and break 4 of my ribs learned a whole new appreciation of pain even hated going to the bathroon still have some residual pain from that thinkin it might just be connective tissue

Of Coarse I already mentioned the heat...

Then I went into a depressive funk for 2 months cuz my therapist went off on "baby" and I had no one to "regulate" my "thinking" still not totally outa that but am trying to muddle thru

I am constantly reminded of the song from Hee Haw "Gloom, dispair, and agony on me"

My mom calls me "Shleprock" after the bumbling character from the Flinstones
she bought flipped her gourd when I left a message on her machine that I had broken my ribs

My Doctor told me that I fell HARD to break the ones that I did I broke the 4th,5th 6th,7th those are concidered right in the middle and usually don't get broken in a fall so I must have fallen in an arc pattern on the landing

then I have a "rash" that won't go away..went to a specialist and everything but my legs are still realy tore up shje says it is caused by stress and I keep thinking to myself if I was anymore "comfortable" I would be in a comma but since I suffer from severe PTSD it could take months after an incedent for some thing to occure and I already have Pruritis which is the "itching disease"
have to take meds for that....

All I have to say to all this is....Thank Goodness this year is almost over I don't have much time (knock on wood) to do anymore damage to myself and hopefully next year will be better...

but I am gonna try to get better about being on here and visiting with y'all
I have missed you!!!!! :)

Oh Wolfie,
Bless your heart. I know how you feel about this but girl, You are on my prayer list.
that is a lot to go through over time let alone in a few short months. It seems as though when the body begins to fail the mind likes to follow. It sounds like you now have a grasp on your issues and are becoming more grounded. If you can keep on this track you will feel better. Relapses are common and you shouldn't set yourself up to let you guard down. That's when things go all crazy. Maintenance is key and I think you know that.

Know that I am thinking of you. You might want to pop into the "Coping with life's changes" thread. We are talking about dealing with all that happens on a daily basis and how we cope.

you are in my prayers as well..........I broke 4 ribs a yr ago.....7th, 8th, 9th and 10th along with my wingbone....and I know the pain that comes from that.....please take care of yourself.....

Wolfie,
It looks like you about hit bottom so things have to get better for you. We did miss you though. We are so glad you are back. Life is like that when one bad thing happens then here comes more to make you really miserable.

Thank You so much All....((((HUGGLES))))

I am trying really hard...I know I need to start thinking about other things
to keep my mind occupied so I don't "dwell" on things cuz here real soon I think S.A.D.D.s. will be here and I will need somewheres to go emotionally.....

on a happy note...my Shamrock plants are doing amazing!!!!

I have a red one that I got from KyaD and also A green one that I got on clearance this spring and they brighten things

Wolfie,
Try tanning beds for S.A.D.D. I owned a salon at one time and many of my clients had been prescribed by their Dr.'s for S.A.D.D.
( I know people don't think of S.A.D.D. as being a problem in Florida, but for natives it is a major thing. I suffer from it in years when it is cold and dreary. Last year was great year, sunny and warm)

can't do tanning beds 1. can't afford too and 2.have a dermititis problem
that limits me to bright light

I understand how S.A.D.D.s can be a problem in Florida

I have never had a problem with that, but I'm not sure I could handle the short or non-existent days in the far north.

That's too bad Wolfie, my clients that came in for S.A.D.D. were often reimbursed through insurance if it was prescribed. But if you have other issues that's not a good thing for you. :( Wish I could help.

In Florida we are use to high concentrations of sunshine and light, so when we have a bad winter it is like withdrawal from a "happy drug". You can actually see it in some people. Most people think of it as being something that happens only in the regions that have long dark winters, but the sun , like any other life component, is a drug of sorts and once your body is accustom to a cretin amount of light , deprivation can be catastrophic. I will be come extremely depressed and almost lethargic.

I suffer from it too during the Fall and Winter.
It's difficult dealing with the shorter days, especially during prolonged cloudy days!
In January I have grow lights on in the sunroom, and that helps me get through until Spring and longer days!.
Lethargic is a good word to describe how I feel!

I knew that it was real, but had no idea that it could happen in Florida. We go through many long gray periods when we see no sun and I expect it here, but I have not ever been affected by that. One of life's blessings, I am sure.

My Prollybot!!! I have missed you!!!!!
I didn't know you had fibro!!!!! let alone possibly MS

Please let me know what you find out!!!
