Hi Jacob,
Both of my kids were homeschooled and I have had gardens for a good 35 years. So my kids were raised in the garden. My son is a professionall landscaper and land maintenace man. So your kids can learn a lot from the garden. My daughter is now raising her 2 children in the garden as well. They each have their own little garden.

I used everything in our lives a school lessons. The garden taught moon phases, chemistry, math, physics, science and a way to provide for themselves through good old fashioned work.

My parents were always out in the garden so naturally the rest of us kids used to join them. I learnt a lot from just watching, listening, helping and asking questions.......that's how most kids seem to pick up their parent's habits. Overall the two things I learnt most was doing the occasional bit of hard work and patience, something that not many kids are overly endowed with.:)

When I started gardening a few years ago, it gave me a greater appreciation for life. It was so amazing how something so plentiful could come from such a tiny seed. It also put me more in touch with God. It made me realize that He have us one tiny seed to grow a plant that could produce pounds of fruit or veggies and that in each veggie or fruit were many seeds. It is the gift that keeps on giving!
