I have ground oyster shell for my chickens can I use it for my tomatoe plants the shell is like pea size just concerned it's not fine enough to get into the soil

Yes you can use the ground oyster shells.
The calcium will leach into the soil and be available to the tomato plants. A little will go a long way...
