Hello,
New to the forum. This little gem sprang up in my vegetable garden this summer around may(ish) and I don't have a clue what it is? I do know its a bulb of some sort and it sure is purrdy. I just transplanted it so I can bring it inside through winter. Ive never grown bulbs or any type of flowers so I'm lost. So if anybody knows what it is it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!
Here it is growing in my cucumbers

Welcome to our forum Coy!
It is a canna!
Which zone are you in, or closest city?
East Tennessee right in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains
Google says Zone 6 or 7 right on the line.
And thanks for the reply Rose

That helps because in your zone you can leave it in the garden and mulch it!
If you want to winter it over in a pot, you will need to cut back on the watering as the temps go down. Once you have a light frost you can cut back the foliage and bring it inside and store it away in a dark cool basement. Let the soil dry out and do not water until spring! They will send up sprouts in early spring, then you can plant it outside in a sunny area!
Thanks for the advise Ron, I just now realized that its RonsGarden not RoseGarden.
