Just wasting time on the 'Net before getting back to planting. I'm in the Florida Panhandle, have what passes for a garden here. A bit of flowers and some container tomatos is all I've been doing for several years.
This year I'm ratching up a notch: my sister-in-law wants my help with her first attempt at vegetable gardening. Looks to be a joint exercise. She has 5 acres, with some horses, and I suggested she put in a garden. Since I used to grow vegetables in my back yard at my first house on a ~ 15x60 foot plot, I have been pressed into service as her gardening authority with instructions that I plant whatever I want and they'll take care of it once established.
I'm taking that as I don't have to do the weeding (joy, joy!) but we'll see how it works out. As tomatos can't be grown in my current yard's soil (bad problem with nematodes and wilt viruses), I'm envisioning an endless supply of real tomatos, for a change.
Temperatures will be into 70F today. Winter is so mild, so far, I still have two tomatos producting since fall.
