Growing Astralagus is very easy. Astralagus is an herbaceous perennial that belong to the family of legumes. Astralagus plant has a short vertical or raised stem that is densely covered with imparipinnate leaves. The other names of Astralagus are Queue-de-Renard, Astragale, Astragli Membranceus, Membranous Milk Vetch, Astragale à Feuilles de Réglisse, Huang Qi, Astragale Astragale Réglissier, Radix Astragalus, Astragali, Astragalo, Chinese Astragalus, Astragalus Membranaceus, Astragalus mongholicus, Beg Kei, Bei Qi, Buck Qi, Huang Se, Hwanggi, Milk Vetch, Réglisse Sauvage, Mongolian Milk, Ogi, Phaca membranacea, Radix Astragali, Réglisse Bâtarde.
Astralagus plant does well in Soil pH— 6.6 – 8.5. The inflorescence is actually a dense brush of yellowish flowers in the appearance reminiscent of peas, which after maturing turn into the oval or egg-shaped beans. Astralagus plant is an easy to grow plant with many medicinal uses and its appearance harmoniously decorates the landscapes.
