Plum can be grown from seed. To actually grow plum from seed you need the following; Sand, perlite, organic soil mixture, 1-gallon plastic container, hammer, trowel, pot, hardware cloth, rocks or metal screening. A lot of commercial growers don’t grow plum from seed because their livelihoods depend on controlling the process; commercial growers rely on grafting or re-growing from twigs and buds. However planting a plum seed is something that is very simple.
