Growing tomatillos in containers is very easy if you actually have sun, good potting soil, and an extra large pot. Without been told tomatillos are not only tasty and make fabulous salsa, they are also beautiful and exotic looking. The flowers of the plant are pretty yellow, and when the tomatillo fruit first appears it really looks like a tiny Chinese lantern: delicate and translucent. Despite the fact that they require similar care like tomatoes, they are also much more forgiving. Tomatillos plants are fairly drought and heat-tolerant and they are also much less susceptible to blights and fungus.
