1 container cottage cheese (16oz) w/ pineapple ( or add your own pineapple
1/2 container cool whip(sm)
1 can mandarin oranges(drained)
1(sm) box orange jello (sugar free)
Sprinkle jello over the other stuff & mix all together.

PS---I added a few chopped nuts

I have made this recipe for 30 years and it is one of our favorites.
The only difference is I use cottage cheese and a can of drained crushed pineapple.

I have one similar but with ricotta, rather then cottage cheese!
We do not do sugar-free anything here! Regular jello but set and cut into cubes!

Reminds me of a recipe (that I dont have) that my mother makes occasionally. She uses a gelatin mold and does two layers. One mixed with cottage cheese and nuts, and then the next layer is the "see through" layer with orange jello, mandarin oranges, maraschino cherries. Its AWESOME stuff.

Im going to try your recipe, it sounds tasty :)
