I am looking for an inexpensive way to make several large raised planter beds for a new garden. I was thinking of using corrugated aluminum sheets supported by 4x4's at the corners. We live in Idaho and the beds will get full sun. Will the matel generate too much heat inside the beds and be harmful to the plants?
I have seen several images online where this material has been used, but one person we talked to said this material would be too hot?
any help out there?

Hey Rex, welcome to our forum!
You would be better off using treated lumber if this is for a flower bed!
If you are doing a veggie garden it would be best to line the inside with heavy gauge plastic to prevent leaching..

The corrugated aluminum would get too hot, and will bow out over time
