I just ordered some violets the kind that grows in the woods back home but I am not sure if it's going to be too hot for them here (southwest Louisiana) any idea??

Evie, the seed packets will give you an answer to that along with planting instructions. I hope they work out for you though. Flowers are a good thing.

I ordered the plants from Ebay I am not sure how that's going to work I mean E Bay , Has anyone ordered from them (or Bid)?

My wife has, Evie, and for the most part she has been pleased with the results. I don't even know how to start.

I think they will do very well...They are hardy little plants and grow in all types of places...one of my favorite flowers...

They like water..planting in a spot that holds moisture is a good idea. I am in SC and they grow wild here. The most popular place to find them is around a ditch or pond. I've dug a few and replanted in pots. I really like my wild violets. Good luck with yours Evie.

thanks for the info can't wait to get them I remember them when I was a child and I would bring back big bouquet for my Mama.

Thats the problem I have with ordering off of Ebay. You aren't quite sure if they will do well in your planting zones. So always be sure to check cause there is nothing worse than having a plant you love only to die!
