Hi Woodie!
Good to see you are doing well. It has been a rollercoaster of a winter, and March is crazy with winter weather...
Glad to hear Randy and Marcy are alright.....it has not been an easy January or February....
It has been flu season here and picked up one flu after another...it is like the flu viruses are doing catchup after 4 years of being mostly absent...wearing masks whenever we go out is the culprit....
I survived and I have been flu free for the last 8 days.so looks like the flu season is coming to an end...

It amazes me too Woodie, that we have tried to maintain contact with one another...the some of the gang on fb still chat about gardening....20 years where did it go! :)

And here we are in the beginning of may. Where does the time go. got some annuals planted and some herbs. Getting some nice warm days now. Too bad it can't stay like this all summer, but I know those humid days are right around the corner! I missed the flu and Covid free too. Think it was those multi vitamins, lol.

Yes its been over 20 years and I'm still in contact with so many GG people. Randy, laurie, jules, Libby. I'm not into Facebook much but there are other GG people there. I can say hi to! GG got a lot of people together, that's for sure!

Well Ron, have a good may, and I hope to pop over soon!

Hey Woodie! Good you dropped in!
It is slowly warming up, and it finally stopped raining....we got tons for rain and very little sunshine...
It's allergy season and it looks like the trees are producing a bumper crop of pollen this year....

Don't know if you know that Marie Krauss passed away...Debe Neukam Brown keeps me informed of members who have passed away...
Makes me feel old!!!

Anyway...have a good warm May...and enjoy your garden! Haven't done much in mine...it has been too wet and too cold to think about it! :)

Yes, debe let me know about Marie. That was sad! we have had several beautiful days here in upstate NY. 70s and 80s. Low humidity so it cools off nicely at night. Hope you have had that too Ron.

Allergy season has been a duzzy here too this yr.

Hey to all the mothers, have a super day! You deserve a big celebration.

Hi ron, hope you have been safe from all those fires up in canada! Its horrible from what I've seen. I go online to Canada news! NYC has bad smoke from the fires, we got some smoke and they tell peop!e to stay indoors. I'm upstate near albany. I saw some blue skies this afternoon, so think its clearing now! Be safe! Julie is safe too in NS!

Hi Woodie!
We survived a week of smoke and haze and a few days of of very bad air quality....spent these really bad days inside with windows and door closed...
It was not very good for my asthma!
The smoke has moved to the east and the air quality is improving to a moderated level and even got some rain yesterday ad overnight.....not enough to break the drought conditions...
I read Julies posts on Facebook...they had to evacuate for 7 days...
There are so many fires to the NE of us....at least the wind direction changed as the stalled Low of the east coast is finally heading out to sea!
There is another low out west heading our way that will cause more haze and smoke ....but not expected to be as bad...depending on wind directions....
We are getting blamed for all the smoke the US States are getting! We cannot do anything to prevent fires since the climate is changing and weather patterns are heading north along with thunderstorms ...the cause is lightning from these storms, and the drier growing conditions...

This story has no ending...we will need to adapt to the changing climate!

Hi Ron, if you look at my post a year ago I mention the fires back then. This is something that happens each year. I've heard the blame game on the news. Stupid people, there is nothing you can do but pray for rain and hope the fireman and volunteers can get it under control. Yes Julie evacuated her home, everything is safe in her area. We have fires here as well. Its been very dry here. We need slot of rain and it looks like we might get it next week too!

Take care!

Hey Woodie!
It is raining here since last evening and looks like we will be getting more during the week...the winds finally shifted and are now out of the SW...the smoke haze is gone and also that faint campfire odor that dominated the weather for the last week or so!
They are saying that the fires across Canada has gone up by 75% since last year...not a good thing...there are efforts being made to try to slow down the fires from spreading, and it is projected that the fires could continue to burn into December...

Hi Ron, hope those fires are under control now with all the rain I've seen on the news! Its been a good June so far here. Cool mornings and warm aftermoons, but not too not and little humility. Hope your having the same! Happy 1st day of summer.

Happy 1st day of Summer Woodie!
Having pretty much the same as you...I like to low humidity!

Fires are still burning in northern Quebec and we are still getting hazy skies as the winds continue out of the NE and ENE......Praying for winds to shift out of the SW which used to be the norm for late June and July!

Gosh so terrible about all those fires. Frightening! Its been nice here, I could take this weather year round, but that impossible. Haha. How did my favorite place in Canada make out with the fires? Kingston Ontario?

Well our holiday is over. The rain held off so fireworks were good! Laurie from Maine is coming by today. Woohoo

Hi Woodie!
Have't had any smoke and hazy conditions for several days now...winds are finally coming in out of the SW which prevents the smoke from heading out of the NE... Thank God!
Say hi to Laurie for me!

Have fun!

Hi Ron, it was good to see Laurie again! We always talk about the old days on the forums. July was a hum dinger here. Lots of high temps, 90's, humidity and rain. Tons of rain each week, and it all disappeared. No flooding in creeks. Very strange. August came in with cooler air lower temps, another strange weather pattern. We have had smoke several times from Canada. Sad there are still fires up in canada! I hope they can get them under control!

Hi Woodie,
He have had an strange July with no extreme temps... and it looks like it will be a strange August...loving the low night time temps...great for sleeping! We are still getting smoke from western Canada...Alberta an BC are still having a bad time with wildfires...we are not getting any smoke from the Quebec fires...
Still getting yucky muggy days with not much sunshine, but milky hazy skies!
Glad you had a good time with Laurie...

Hi Ron, hope you had a nice thanksgiving! Sorry, I forgot to get on here, so I'm late. Hard to believe its already fall. The leaves are starting to look pretty. Cool mornings and warm afternoons are nice. Unfortunately, we have rain every weekend, which is crazy and driving everyone crazy too!
