We woke up to snow & then it began to sleet & then it began to go back to snow. We have a lot of ice now & it's supposed to get up to sunshine later. If you're confused, me too. Have a nice day all! I will just continue to be confused. Curbster

It just started to snow here. I love snow. It's 27°. We have to stay tuned to how much we get. Your local reporter. Curbie (Has anybody heard from Trax?)

Somebody needs to tell a good joke! Knock, Knock. Who's there? (feel free to jump in ........) PLEASE don't say"When Life gives you lemons...." Well, we're all going through a lot of things, from head to toe ~ inside and out. Age really is a factor. I was taught that laughter is the best...

Brown snow.....hhhmmmmmm. Don't eat it, Ron. I don't ever remember who El Nino & La Nina are. They must be flaminco dancers & wear feathers and yell,"OLE" at the end of their visit. It's 9° right now and I wanted to go somewhere today but I don't know if I can get the car to start. I'd have to...

They really are, Ron. Thank you. Do the fish freeze in the lake? We got our first 1" of snow over night ! WOOHOO! It is so pretty. Looks like God sprinkled powdered sugar on everything. The Christmas tree is awesome. It's just staying cold with a few more inches of snow. It's supposed to get to...

Oh, Mindy. We're ALL frozen. I wear a jacket IN the house. It got all the way from 12° to 25°. I don't know except it is cold and MTM is wandering around in it. It's 7 PM so I'm sure he'll be frozed to the nose. Curbster

I can honestly tell you I have never tasted Swiss chard but I do like every vegetable. My friend said the other day,"If I had known what a warm winter we'd have I could have planted root crops." His garden it above ground (railroad ties). He has a huge backyard & for years, I didn't know he...

We're supposed to get some snow ~ between 2 - 14 inches. Now what kind of forecast is THAT? I still don't know the difference between partly sunny & partly cloudy. I get up ~ it's windy or it's raining or it's sunny. "The clouds are going to be there until noon & then it MAY rain or it could...

My dear friend is going through some life changes b/c his Mum has to have constant care in her home or someone else's home. He is so torn about it. You are correct, Randy. All we can do is count on life changing. Curbie

Does anyone have a recipe on how to do Fried Green Tomatoes? A friend gave me SO many & I really don't know how to make them (well.....I fibbed & said I did :) I THINK this qualifies me as a true dummy.) I've looked in every cookbook I own.... Curbie (Yep, qualified dummy....)

Hey, Mr.Yan. My friend has a compost heap and he put EVERYthing in it from his garden & whatever he buys from the store. He's had great success with it but it takes a lot of work & sometimes it's smelly. He has a BIG yard. We live in a t/h so there's really no way to have a composting pile here...

Nothing like seeing Santa Claus riding in his sleigh with a compost bin! How big is your yard Wombat? Curbie
-
Does Ash like cabbage? How big was the piece you planted? Yep, Farmer Prowl. It counts as a vegetable garden! Maybe you can display it in a county fair somewhere. :)Curbie
-
OK. now what do you put this in? A plastic bin? Nothing like an INQUISITIVE mind. If curiousity killed the cat..... If you don't ask, you can't learn. :) Curbie

I really don't know what compost really is. How does anyone do this? Curbie
