    Hi Juzza, Had to do a bit of a search ........The most common reason Dracaena leaves curl is either an issue with watering (too much or too little), unsuitable temperatures, or too much sun. Chemicals in tap water or fertilizer can also cause curling leaves.

    Hello Brighton, There are a lot of various species of low growing perennials, a lot of them tend to be rather invasive. Since the area is in shade, this restricts the number of species that would do well. Since your soil is clay you might want to use small polished colored pea gravel...

    Growing zones can be iffy depending upon the the kind of winter, which does vary from year to year, in saying this a plant rated for zone 7 will fair better in a zone 8.
