    Why is there no growth on the lower part of my clematis?

    Common problem with this group of clematis. After the blooming ends you can prune the vine down, but be careful not to remove more then 1/3 of the total growth. A suggestion would be to look for another type of clematis that grows shorter to fill in the lower bare area.

    Interesting! Definitely not a hoya. If this plant flowers, I'd love to see a close up of the flower.... Reminds me of a type of ornamental sweet potato.... Looks more like a vining plant rather then a shrub.....a photo of the whole plant would be helpful. Did an extensive search on waxy leaf...

    Sorry to say this, but your plant is suffering from too much water, and not enough sunlight. The root system is more then likely rotted. I suggest you pull it up, and dispose of it, as well as the soil! There is no help at this stage of decay. :( You can try another, but you need to know that...

    Looks like we are warming up today...52 with mix of sun and clouds....should hit 70 this afternoon. Typical of April, whenever we get warmer temps it usually brings rain.... showers this evening and overnight...thunderstorms for tomorrow. Rain for Thursday into Friday......

    Sedge Grass! Probably Yellow Nut Sedge (Cyperus esculentus). All you can do is to continue digging up the roots! As long as you miss pieces of the root...it will continue coming up!

    Looks like we will be getting some snow starting tonight as the temp drops to just below freezing! Snow overnight and tomorrow morning! Could see around 2 inches! High today 45, dropping to 30 overnight, high tomorrow 37! They it begins to warm up to more seasonal temps.
