I have planted some Marjoram to give it another go around. Last time I was not successful. I know that this herb takes a will to germinate, some say 10 days or longer.
I planted the seeds on April 1st and on April 2nd I had a sprout! It wasn't just tiny either, it was a good size, looked like...

Thanks Wombat...sounds like I may be growing the same kind. They have already sprouted (in about 3 days) and are obviously taking well to the heat.

I leave the cloves whole to make straining easier.

Awesome, thanks BattleScott. I guess the sun is the reason for some of my seeds turning really dark and looking burnt. Not sure if they will germinate.

8 inch container - Use 1 tsp for indoor and 2 tsp for outdoor...and so on.
But most of my outdoor plants are not in...

I have some seeds that I have saved from last year. Some are really light colored and some are really dark colored. I was wondering if I did this right. I let them naturally dry out, some of them may have been in the sun. Any help is appreciated.

Before planting my pumpkin seeds one time, I used what I thought to be a crazy far-fetched germination method which is filing the seed gently with a nail file before planting to make it sprout faster. It really does work but would be hard to do with smaller seeds.
Anyone else have success...

I see a good deal on plant netting on ebay and was wondering if I really need it. I was thinking of putting it over my tomatoes or okra. Just wanted to know if anyone uses it or has and does it work?
