Thats the problem I have with ordering off of Ebay. You aren't quite sure if they will do well in your planting zones. So always be sure to check cause there is nothing worse than having a plant you love only to die!

I would think that any other plant would not survive well unless it was a weed. The tree would take up most of the nutrients and compete for water is what I am thinking.

I would leave the Pines alone. They provide a good mulch for your garden to keep weeds away. Im lucky to have plenty of Pines here in GA.

Make sure you throw away these leaves in the trash can and wash your hands so you wont spread it to other plants. Remember to never throw these leaves in the yard or garden as others will get infected. Your plant will be fine once you dispose of the infection and spray a mild insecticide to be sure.

I live in zone 7b-8a and I want to start a garden now...as I am getting impatient having nothing to do. I am getting mixed info on the net. I want to know what I can grow in November here in Georgia. It gets about 30F at the most and doesnt snow here.

Can I plant them in a shady area? Or will full sun work best?

I was hoping that once my summer veggies are done that I would move on to new ones, since fall will be here before I know it!!
I was planning on planting the following:
Tomatoes
Cucumbers
Pumpkins
Butternut Squash
Spaghetti Squash
And maybe Radishes, Beets and Potatoes.....
Cant...
