    Feeding Watermelon plants

    I have an icebox watermelon plant that I water about once a week, and I have never used fertilizer on it. I was told that I should only water it once a week with 1-2 inches of water. However the plant has 3 melons that are almost done! I think I mite go out and do some fertilizer anyhow :)

    My Pepper Pics

    My peppers were planted in the garden in peat pots I bought them in and they are taking forever to grow..I have only gotten 2 peppers in 2 months!! So I am jealous of your peppers!! LOL

    The marigolds make a big difference in my garden..I always see at least one bee when I go out to the garden.

    Bush Bean Plant

    I have one bush bean plant that I have kinda abandoned..and just when I was about to pull it up it has two purple flower blooms so my sister convinced me to keep it. It is all ate up with some kind of insect but I am willing to give it a try. I have a family of four..so how many plants do I need?

    Temp Greenhouse

    When I start my seedlings..I use peat pots or just a container..and I wrap plastic wrap..or a sandwhich bag over the peat pot..to warm up the soil and use a heatlamp. It worked great by the way!! I had it set up in the laundry room..that lamp is amazing.

    Organic Matter

    As organic matter for my garden, I use: Molded Strawberries Brewed Tea Bags Egg Shells I have also heard that it is good to use grass cuttings...any other ideas?

    Grass Cuttings..

    Can I use the grass cuttings as straw to put down in the garden, to prevent weeds? What are the other benefits of using the cuttings or straw in your garden? Does it hold moisture?

    Cant grow strawberries!!

    I dont know what kind of strawberry seeds I had the last two times but now I am going to get some molded strawberries from the frig and try to plant the tops of them to see if they will work??
