    The new growth won't produce berries this year so don't be disappointed. Rasberries produce on the new canes the 2nd season they come up.

    Yes it would do better in the sun. I'd move it in early spring before the leaves come out on it.

    I have them in my gardens, I'm zone 5 moving toward zone 6 and I leave them in the ground. The leaves come up when the daffodils do and die back about the same time. About a month later beautiful pink flowers on 15" long slender stalks appear. The bulbs are quite large and multiply like crazy...

    do alliums???

    I have wild onions that come up all over my property and they are very difficult to get rid of. They look like my alliums coming up. but they are a nusiance. They certainly smell like onions.

    Kim the cutting was hoya and I'm not sure what the plant was, it does look like some type of aloe. maybe if you send a picture of it someone will recognise and we will both find out.
