    The Bluegrass Bunch

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away, a group of people from Kentucky started a thread. They shared their day to day lives, southern recipes, southern humor, southern landscapes, plantings and general southern hospitality. I was drawn to their honest, caring discussions. I read each...

I talked about this years ago on GG. Just think how many roadside weeds are pretty. And, goofy me...I didn't take pics. This year I had chicory, ox-eyed daisies, Queen-Annes Lace, milkweed, teasel, water iris, fall aster, black-eyed Susans, loosestrife, and the centerpiece...the tallest...

    I Have A Pond!

I used roofing rubber. It is heavier than what you can buy at Home Depot. Some people say it is toxic to fish and plants. I am proof, that in my case, that is incorrect. I also used city water straight out of the hose. I do not heat or aerate over the winter...the fish go to the bottom and...

    I Have A Pond!

I have been lucky the last couple of years...no green. And I haven't done a thing to make it clear! I have a lot of shade after about 11 and I do think that makes a difference.

    hi from weary traveler

I was a member of Garden Guides...don't remember GE. Pretty much, people just drop in at all times thru the day and night. You will notice many do come at regular times and some may set up times to visit. I have a job that allows a lot of freedom and am generally online during the mornings.
