    lawns, a love hate relationship

I am strange. I am one of those people who adore mowing. It all fits my personality...I like any job I can see that I am making headway in. And I have a level in my brain, things must be straight. I agree with and appreciate your comments, Ron...but I get so much satisfaction at looking across...

    Which perennials and why

Hmmm...I like perennials because they are dependable...usually. I used to avoid them at all costs because I thought they tended to look "messy", like weeds. But I have come to appreciate that wild look. I still use annuals for instant color. I am a bit impatient. I have one side of my house...

COME TALK TO ME!!!!! Somebody.... My part of Ohio is lightly covered in white this morning. Brisk wind adds to the chilly! Gently falling, fluffy snowflakes makes for a peaceful view out my office window. Yes...it's still the same here...I am not working as long as I can get away with it:p...

    I Have A Pond!

You're so sweet, Kale. Such a heartwarming person. I'm sorry about Matilda, too. I was sad about not being able to do anything about the falling water level, I mean it was February and frigid! But...ya just start over.

    I Have A Pond!

Yes, ma'am. You have a good memory, Swindy. And Scarez...I can identify with that aching back! Actually...this is another pond, a bit smaller than the one I photographed each step of. That one got a doggie toenail hole and drained out in February...all my fish froze to death:(

    The Bluegrass Bunch

Bah Humbug. It didn't work. I started riding my bike about 4 years ago...5 miles or more a day. You know...staring at 50 and sitting at a desk all day...thought I'd try to get healthy. It worked. I lost 65 lbs. and felt great. Riding a bike is like flying an earthbound plane...wind in your...
