    I would lighting hoe around the plant careful not to disturb the roots. That will help the soil to dry out. Sometimes when too wet the soil will sour and have an odor about it.

    I wouldn't fertilize any tomatoes until the ground is dry again. The plants are already stressed enough. To help eliminate the blossom end rot mix equal parts of Epsom Salts and dry mortar mix. You can buy small bags at Lowe's. Mix together and sprinkle a 1/4 to 1/3 cup of the mix around the...

    Gloria we got 4.7 inches of that good ole' SC rain last night. My garden is not too bad with all the recent rain but I have had to really work at it.

    John I would give it more time for the ground to dry out some. Wouldn't fertilize any more and would try to aerate the soil around the plants til the soil is drier. Good luck and keep us posted.

    I bagged up 3 nice size bags of summer squash to give away yesterday and my sister in law is coming to get a 2 gallon bucket full of cucumbers to make pickle. I have parted with any of my tomatoes yet, but, soon and very soon I will be.

    I have never had a problem with my Lamb's Ear spreading everywhere. I thin it every couple of years to contain it.

    Even will all the recent rain, my garden is producing. Have to pick the summer squash and cukes every day. Also pick on an average of 4 tomatoes from the garden. The watermelons have loads of blooms but haven't seen any fruit yet.

    I have a larger seedless watermelon we are going to cut tomorrow. It's like looking for a buried treasure hoping to find a viable seed.

    Dor look and see if you got any seeds in it you can dry and try to plant. It was a $2 personal size small wateremelon that weighed between 8 and 10 pounds. That was a wonderful watermelon.
