    I think my dh secretly goes out in the garden in the night and moves the things I've planted... I have surprise plants ALL THE TIME :rolleyes: (it's the fun part of senility you know...hehehe)

    I agree completely. I like to make, and use, Worm Compost Tea. Gives my soil all the nutrients my plants need, without any chemicals added.

    I've used sawdust before, however you have to be very careful that noone has chipped up "treated" lumber in there as well. Sawdust doesn't break down very quick, at all. Hmm, cardboard? Not a bad idea. Mind you, that should take me forever to cut it up into small pieces that will break down...

    I need ideas on what to use for the CARBON in my compost. I've had what I feel is an excess of Nitrogen, and always adding more. I don't have any more brown leaves, so I need some clues Me, the Libra, always looking for balance, even in my compost bin :p
