We are just now getting out sweet corn out. I am trying Kandy Korn, Incredible and Silver Queen this year. I grew some 2 years ago, but it ended up eaten by the wild life while I laid in the hospital, that was quite a bummer to see once I came home! Hoping to have much better luck this time around!
I am working on hubby for another bed. I didn't have room for corn either, so hoping by this weekend I will have room for those melons! I did put out just a few of the Rocky Ford and Pride of Wisconsin. In the veggie bed. Had a patch of flowers that get tall, so if they end up needing to come...
Beautiful ddaylilies gals!! Gloria, I love that 2nd one. Do you know its name? Dor, LOVE 3 and 4!! And Crabbergirl that is gorgeous! It will be awhile before I can post any pics, haven't seen a single scape yet! Will have to enjoy yours for now!

Myfedora, Those dwarfs are just gorgeous! I had 2 bloom this year, but didn't get any pics. One was Firestorm(Loved it!) and another is a strange blue colored rebloomer.

Kya, They seem to be very common around here(the 1st ones). I love them all too, get so antsy waiting for those buds to finally open! Seems to take forever. I have so many that are going to be surprises that are going to bloom this year, just hoping most aren't purple, lol!
A tad off subject here, but could I grow cantalopes(spelling sorry) in a flower bed that is on a slope? There is wood chip mulch in the flower bed, it receives late morning and afternoon sun. My veggie bed is packed!

I finally have some Iris blooming! All so far are NOIDs, so if any one has any ideas on what they may be, please do tell! The second one had one of its standards fall off the day it opened :( Still pretty though! The last one smells oh so good, the first one too just not as much. Had one more...
