An update--Most of my winter sown seeds are up and looking great....except for these. No sign of anything yet. Still keeping my fingures crossed though!
Gloria, I am so jealous! I have 1 bud so far on Fire Storm, a mini. Nothing yet on any of the others. Can't wait to see more of your blooms! They are just gorgeous.

I had tried sowing all of the seeds mentioned above, but only the mock orange germinated. But boy did it germinate! Thanks for the advice and I will check out that link Kya. Thanks :)
It looks like from my post above I winter sowed both on 1/29. I don't have any sprouts as of yet, but fingures are crossed! I'll look for them on 4/14 since I started mine the same you did last year Smelly Melly!
I have been given some seeds for various seeds but have no inkling the proper way to sow them. I have received seeds for Old Fashioned Wiegela(fuzzy looking things), Crepe Myrtle(flat, brown hard), Mock Orange(hard ball, broke has small things inside), French Lilac, and a dwarf red maple. If...
I think I need to make a trip to Wal-Mart too! Those are really pretty. I have never seen a purple zinnia either. One more pack of seeds won't hurt right?
