    latebloomer you did good! Most likely saved that dogs life and the woman lots of $$ in Vet bills. It is to bad that plants like that can be sold without warning labels on them. There are warning labels on everything from aspirin to cigs. Especially since kids can be so harmed by the plants.

    There are a lot of poisonous house and garden plants, but with most of them the child or the pet would have to eat a very large amount to get sick from them. It looks like the sego palm is much more dangerous.

    Will my daffodils recover?

    If you can you should leave the leafs and on the plant until they turn yellow and then cut them back. The bulbs are fed through the leafs for next years flower production. You might not have as much flowering next year but the bulbs should be fine.

    Laurie I have read that you should find their den and then lay your trap about 5 or 6 feet away from the opening and make line of veggies from the hole to the trap and into the trap. They have their babies in May so it is very important to get the Mama and babies at the same time.

    Grass Clippings As Mulch

    I used grass clippings for both paths and mulch around my plants. For the paths I put down newspaper first and around the plants I used it fresh on well established plants. I never had a problem with using grass clippings. I also put them in the compost pile.
