    Please pray for Randy

Oh and I totally agree that the better you treat the nurses the better they treat you. I didn't want anyone babying me, they called me Miss Independence. I needed to learn how to get in and out of bed without help because I knew I would be doing that when I got home. I think they only helped...

    Please pray for Randy

My hospital food was the pits Randy, but I didn't eat many meals there. I didn't eat at all the whole day of surgery and not much the following day either, the anesthesia didn't agree with me. Hope all goes great for you!

Gardening For The Health of It

I am still amazed every day and am so thankful that I can garden at all this year. We have raised beds, but they are only 8 inches off the ground, so not much help, but we needed topsoil in our yard and wanted gardening space that was easy to take care of, so they work for now.

Recipe Let's see your bbq's, and recipes.

I just reviewed the recipe, it only has 2 reviews...but we love it. Since there are only 2 of us we don't make a full recipe and definitely not the full amount of salt or oil.

Recipe Let's see your bbq's, and recipes.

The recipe hubby uses for his firemans chicken is on food.com...if you type in firemans chicken and find use the one that has vinegar, eggs, oil, salt, pepper and poultry seasoning...it is one of my favorites!

Recipe Let's see your bbq's, and recipes.

The Brazilians are very big on outdoor kitchens and have awesome brick barbeques. Dang, I should have gotten some pictures when we were visiting. We have a nice gas grill, but I don't do the barbequing. Hubby makes an awesome firemans chicken!

Gardening For The Health of It

I am enjoying gardening now that my hip isn't aching anymore. I can't kneel for the rest of my life, but do lots of bending. I have some weeding to do, hoping for a cool cloudy morning this week to get it done.

what perenials to plant with bulb?

Oh, I see that they are now banned, thanks Ron. I am a true primary color gardener, so I was excited about this...all of the plumbago, a true blue, coreopsis, and so many beautiful reds. Thanks for pointing it out, but oh well....thank Goodness no one has banned me. I have bad manners sometimes.

    Exasperated with Seedling Progress

If you used a heavy soil you may actually be overwatering them. Some of the good soiless mixes that are good for seeding are pro-mix and fafard mix. You can't usually buy them at walmart or a generic store, but a good garden center should offer a soiless mix for seeding.

    Mandevilla Propagation

The node is where the leaves are attached. The flowering wood would likely not root. Don't use wood that is too tender. Crabber, we used promix...very light peat mix. And bottom heat, and they were still tough.
