    Clay type soil

I put some globe arborvitae in, a dwarf one. Let me see if I can find a label if I saved one from planting 3 years ago. I love them and they are under control. We have pretty bad clay here, amended the soil a little bit but they are doing great.

    My veggie garden

We had some of my pickled green beans last night for the first time. I think that they would be awesome with a bloody mary, ha. Or maybe with my homemade veggie juice. Maybe I will pick up a little vodka for some bloody marys!

    Young lilac w/ unknown disease...help!!

If it is frost damage it should re-leaf. If you bought it early your garden center may not take it back. I know that the garden centers around here were concerned with the very early spring. People were wanting annuals in March, when May is normal.

    Young lilac w/ unknown disease...help!!

Yup, watering once a week deeply is much better than watering more often. I think maybe it got too much "kindness".

    Interspecies Grafting?

Or for people that are growing for just 2 people. I thought that it was interesting for that very reason. I just couldn't figure out how they would graft a stone fruit to a seed fruit or vice versa. Somebody figured it out. Can't believe that I haven't googled that one yet.

    My veggie garden

We had a neighor who I offered to share our raspberries with back in ontario. I thought that she might just come over and pick a pint now and then, but she was taking so many that we weren't getting any. So I had to tell her to save some for us. Loved her, but sheesh!

    cross pollination

Are you going to try to save seed? If not you don't have to worry about it.

    My veggie garden

Wow Crabber, I am wowed, that is awesome! I want to buy a smaller house with a bigger lot so that in retirement we can do that! Now we have a small raised bed with raspberries, a small raised bed with asparagus, a little bigger raised bed with tomatoes and onions, and an upcoming raised bed...

    Interspecies Grafting?

I saw an interesting tree this spring that had an apple, a pear, a peach and a cherry all together on one tree. I was wondering how they did that.

Recipe National Pig Day - Pork Recipes

We often buy the whole pork loins and cut them into chops. Now I am hungry for one. I do a really nice pork roast with a really good rub made withgarlic powder, brown sugar, thyme and rosemary and salt and pepper, it is one of my favorites.
