Now if you plant bush beans like that will it work? Or will the corn shade the bush beans too much? I only like blue lake bush beans. Also instead of a squash can you plant cucumbers?
-
When it says root crops does that mean like my potatoes, carrots, and onions?
-
Well you already have a head start! I'm not going to plant until Saturday.
-
Yes just removing the soil from the top should be ok Spiderlilly. That is what I do with mine every year.
-
Well, if you could only see how many weeds I have in my garden. It would take weeks to pull them. I am going to spray them. Then wait til saturday to plant.
-
You know I haven't seen any ground moles so far this year. Haven't see any chipmunks either. I wonder if my brown snake in the back yard got them.
-
Yes it is a bucket planter hanging on the side of the rail. When my SIL seen the dove making a nest she taped off the front door and deck entrance so no one bothers it.
-
Well I can keep out the rabbits this year but not the moles!

Hey that looks like my tiller! One thing I learned about my tiller fast, make sure the wheels are engaged. When I first got mine couldn't figure out why it didn't want to go anywhere, just in one spot and till. Neighbor pointed out the pin things next to the wheels, pull those out, line up holes...

Going to plant my garden Saturday. Hope is good day according to the moon!
-
Wow those are pretty Dizz. I have purple/blue ones. I really like the yellow in the middle of yours.

All righty then! Wish me luck! Thanks Kya D :D

Does anyone grow carrots? I got carrot seed from Grow A Row for the Hungry but I have never done carrots before.
-
Mansfield is just down the road from us. There are some farmers that sell sweet corn around here but last year was $4 a dozen. Was glad I grew my own. About 3 years ago I was buying it from the amish for $1 a dozen. That was cheaper than growing it for me anyway. But they too raised their prices...

Nah, when I get sick I just get the toilet paper with aloe! :D
