When can I move a small shrub?

I totally agree with Ron. My girlfriend gave me a slip of a poppy I wanted...said it would NEVER survive as it was mid June. Well - this plant is so happy :D The main part died off and it has such beautiful green lush foliage now....the cool summer and lots of rain helped it along, so yes...

When can I move a small shrub?

I see you are in zone 3 .... so even your hot hot days of summer, are not all that hot!!! I start moving things around mid August .... and water them well to help adjust to the move. WHenever I move something, I try to not disturb it's roots all that much and never have a problem.

Good luck with selling your plants Mainey....sounds like a good deal to me too and hopefully your neighbours spread the word! Just missing one season of not keeping up with the weeds can really set you back ...been there, experienced that ... good luck with that too!

I think anything that is strong or not the real deal will aggrivate a migraine. I use lavendar essential oil in my bath when I need to relax. I have suffered from migraines for 31 years and could write a book on the triggers! Everyone's body and type of migraine is different. I am on a daily...

    Lavender

That is strange that it causes you a headache! I suffer from migraines and the only scent I can tolerate is lavendar and eucalyptus. Lavender just sooths my head. If I am anywhere in a closed area of lilacs it just kills me! But I love them and have to enjoy at a distance. When we bougth...

    A Peony Question??

Yes - as we get older we realize how much like our predacessors we have become....guess we have the time to analyze more than when we are younger and just rushing through life!!! I treasure the material items I have from my grandparents, great grandparents and my parents. I was so fortunate to...

    A Peony Question??

Curbie - you and Ginny were true soul sisters - it touches me to think you knew and cared so much for her and I was privy knowing how much time you spent looking after her when she got sick. You did the right and thoughful thing with her ashes....and now your garden will mean even more to you...

    Hummingbird Sightings

Our hummers arrived May 10th - first the males arrive, then the females come here about a week later. We definitely have two males - and either one or two females. They are so entertaining and such fun to watch. We have two feeders - both stuck on the kitchen windows, so we get up close and...
