    Interspecies Grafting?

    I have seen 2 tomato plants of the same variety grafted about a foot above ground. This was to give the single top a more massive root system to grow a record-breaking tomato. I should get back to him to see how it did.

    I would use the 2-part epoxy. I would also dump out the pot next fall so the soil in it doesn't freeze and cause this problem again.

    Do you have a picture of these bugs? Sounds like they might be aphids, they only fly for a day or so. They're not very often black either. Photo would really hep with ID.

    Grass in Raised Beds

    If the bed is JUST strawberries, you can remove the berry plants to pots temporarily. Then till up the entire bed and rake thru it to remove all the grass. Then re-plant the strawberries. You will still have to weed out grass later since the grass may have made seeds last year that you can't see...

    Can you use previously heated water in garden?

    Ideally, there are no nutrients in the water. Only a minor amount of minerals and these wouldn't be affected.

    The largest table grapes are not due to being a certain variety other than they have to be seedless. They are sprayed with a hormone that makes them bigger.
