Those commercial places have to think of some way to get you to buy stuff. It's not enough that they cost a fortune to get in. I guess that's why I've never been to any place like that.

What companies/catalogs have you bought plants/seeds from?

Ron, I wondered because they had the most incredible selection of herbs -- unusual and common, that I've ever seen. They had stuff that is generally extremely hard to find. How do they do the monetary conversions though? I don't recall whether the prices they listed were USD or just Canadian.

I'll see if I can find it. I remember encountering it when I was attempting to submit content or a link to my blog to to some place that uses Google Ad Sense for some of their revenue, and because I happened to have Google Ad Sense on my blog, I couldn't do it. I think it was in the terms of use...

Or what if you created an area where members could list what they have.....and leave it to the member to separate seeds, plants, cuttings, bulbs or whatever. Then they could indicate what they are looking for, whether they'll accept postage or anything else that might be pertinent.

    Which perennials and why

I have another one I adore: Stephanotis Floribunda -- also known as Madagascar Jasmine. I like all tropical stuff.....never knew about anything tropical, nor did I grow it until my dear gardening friends from forums introduced me to this new and exciting world.

Sharon, I don't know if there's a problem with you posting pictures of gardens -- say public gardens, if you took the pictures while you walked through them. As long as you took the pictures, I don't think there is a problem -- unless the garden has some regulation about taking pictures. As...

    Recipe Recipes galore and more....

I love model trains! I like that set up with the photo on the side. What if you were to set it up so that there would be a place where you could click to have a pop up open with a printable form of the recipe? I'm not sure if you could create a template where we could just fill in the...

Rest assured, Bob! They already are working out better here! You may be right about the data being corrupted. There was a point where the hosting company kept telling him that we were overloading their servers and making it crash. It got to the point where they'd take the site off line briefly...

Ron, thanks for posting the obituary. I couldn't and wouldn't have done it, but it needed to be done! KUDO's to you! And I'll be waiting anxiously to see all of your pictures. Don't think for a minute that your photos and efforts weren't appreciated. Good thing I have some bath sheets...
