    Flying can be an issue. Unless it is in your carry on, the temp in the luggage cabin is not reuglated and can freeze. The bare roots won't be able to withstand the cold. Did you buy the tree or did you dig it? Too bad your trip is during the winter. One option is to have someone ship it to you...

    Double fence is a great idea dawn, but I think Laurie has a lot of land to cover and it can get real expensive. Here they do a lot of wildlife fences and they are 8-10 feet tall. Helps keep deer in or out depending on your view ;).

    Ron It was a $10 donation for a handful of each of 3 types of shitakes. I have 3 logs with about 30 in each log so 90 spore plugs ....maybe more. I can't wait for this to produce but we may be waiting a while . Randy that's what I was thinking too. but I think the fact that it gets watered...

    RandyYou are right we have become reliant on technology to cut down the amount of time we spend socailly. Face time is so very important! Light freeze tonight. Not to bad just a couple hours at day break. Garden should be fine ;)
