    Perfect. Thanks! I was actually thinking of removing the mulch as it's the red kind. The lady that I do all this amateur lawn/garden care for read something about arsenic concerns in that type of mulch. I haven't found all the details yet but I was going to ask if she wanted me to remove it...

    What fungicide should I use to control the black sooty mold now that the scale has been treated? I'm hoping that it will also control the powdery looking mold "stuff" that grows on one of her other plants every year. I'm not sure what the name of that plant is but it gets a white powdery...

    A couple of people I know have an issue with their holly bushes and I can't find a decent answer. I should take some photos and post them when I have a moment.
