You know, most plant centers and even some of the big box stores have lemon thyme plants for sale in the spring. By the time you order seeds, buy some sort of seed starting substrate, and a cup or pot to put it in; you could easily spend more than the cost of one or two plants.

I usually have bunches of robins eating the cherry laurels and pooping purple on my car this time of year. No purple poop so far, so I don't know where my robins are!
Lucky you, Maggie!

I didn't see that, but I saw a short video on the BBC Earth, and they are lovely!

Kya, I hear rumors of dogs like Annette's that take good care of their toys, but I think they're mythical, like a Sasquatch or the Loch Ness Monster, or Curbie.

Hmmm, my post seems to have vanished. Oh well.
Yes, it is a stuffed toy, a rabbit. They've desqueakered it, and partially destuffed it; but they still think it's fun. I came out one of this cold mornings and found it frozen on the ground with stuffing scattered around it. It was oddly gruesome...

I piled the comforter on this low table frame, and lo and behold, it immediately became a Cat Cave.

The dogs love the cold weather! They're wild!
See all the white bits in that last picture? They used to be inside the green comforter. I had wrapped some plants against the cold with it, but when I came outside Sunday, I found it being used as a tug toy!

Yeah, and there aren't any in my part of the country, darn it!

I don't know that I've ever seen a sharp shinned hawk. Mostly what we see around here are Red-tailed hawks, although I did have a kestrel hanging around my yard one summer.

Cool Pictures!
I would say she looks cold, but I would be projecting.

Awww, they look so sweet all cuddled up like that.
I wonder if the dappling gene in dachshund is related to the merling gene in Aussies? In Aussies a double merle can be blind or deaf, though.

I don't think anyone should feel guilty about loving or wanting a purebred, sorry if I gave that impression. I've had three purebred Australian Shepherds in my life. I just wanted to remind folks to check out the people who bred their pup. You don't want to support someone who's essentially a...

Oh, I didn't know about ordering through Garden Forums. How do we do that?

I'm another firm believer in taking in the homeless pets. Abigail is a rescue, and the other 4 all came out of one pound or another. It makes me feel like I'm part of the solution of pet over-population.
If you decide you want a pure bred dog or cat, please be sure to research the breeder to be...

If you see any in that list that interest you, give me a holler. I won't use more than 10 seeds tops of most of those varieties, and if I have more than that, I'll be glad to share.

Yeah, Izzy can be a real sweetheart. I feel sorta bad for her. First she had Abigail to compete with for attention when we go out, and Abby is such a beautiful, flashy blue merle with one blue eye and one brown. Now she has *two* blue merles to compete with, and Josephine is little and cute...

Welcome mh52! I can't answer your question because the mere thought of snow 5 feet deep leaves me gobsmacked, I just wanted to welcome you. Others will drop by to help you out, though.

An additional "awwwww..." picture
Izzy and Zoe last night.

I envy you your space. Someday, if my ship comes in, I want to move out of the city and suburbs and have a little land to plant flowers and vegetables to my heart's content. Oh, and to have a big safe yard for the dogs to rip around to their hearts content. Until then, I'll have to do much hand...
