Doesn't sound silly at all CG.

Thanks Kya I'll look for them. Still want to know the name of those prize winners Dave grows too.

That is lovely and I like your bed too. TFS

They all look fantastic. I see blue ribbons in your future. Dave what kind of carrots are those. I know you told me once but I've forgotten. My carrots always look so pitiful I stopped growing them but I'd like to try again.
I think I'll be getting that first tomato sandwich of the...

Holy Cow I can't imagine what it's like to live with wild life. When I lived way out in the country it was in Hawaii, we didn't have any wild animals like you all have. On occasion I can smell that a skunk has been somewhere near or in my yard but I’ve never seen one or any sign of damage. I...

Welcome from the PNW. I have a friend just like you. The last thing she wants to do after work is sit in front of another computer. We have a lovely group here. All gardeners need advice or have something to share from time to time and this is the perfect place to come for both.

Maggie it just keeps getting better. They are so very lovely.
I've grown glads before but this is the first time I've grown them here were we have such high winds. I can't remember how sturdy the stems are. Do you think I will need to stake them? I have so many things staked in my...

That makes no sense to me either since there are so many variegated flowering plants. I would give it all the TLC it can stand and see what happens. What have you got to lose? Just think of how crazy daylily freaks would be if you happen to have the one that thrives. Save the seeds! Good...

Those are just lovely! TFS! They are one of my favorite flowers but I gave up on them. Seems every time I tried to grow them armies of earwigs would invade my yard. They don't tolerate the high winds here either. I can stake the stems but the flowers still brake off. It just broke my heart...

Laurie I'm so glad you said that. I had the white at my last house and after that I didn't even dare try the other colors even though I think they are so pretty. Now I may just give them a try.

How sweet. I love the names as well.

LOVELY lovely lovely. TFS

Gosh your gardens are lovely! I should see if the vitex is viable in my zone five. I never see it in the nurseries so it problably isn't sure is beautiful. TFS

As always I love seeing your pictures. TFS DAVE! Never see wild life in my yard. I'm not sure how I'd deal with them doing damage in my garden but you can bet I'd work hard to find a way to live with them if they visited. I'm looking forward to the fawns as well.

Hi Steve welcome from the PNW. Glad you found us.
Wow! I though I had a challenge with my soil.
First the bird seed: I got tired of pulling up those weeds so I put my seed in the microwave for five minuets or so. That kills the seeds but it’s still good for the birds.
Everyone has...

I agree we never irrigated our vineyard. When ever we had a lot of rain we would have that same problem.

We will be having the kitchen, living room, dinning room and hall painted after the remodel so every little bit will help. I need to settle on the colors with Jim then I'll order some for my son and my daughter and myself. Every little bit will help. Thanks!!

Are the beets pickled? They look yummy as does everything else.

:) Laurie you don't know our Dave very well. The man is a magician in the garden. I have no idea how he does it. I’m in zone five and even though I can get my tomato plants to look great I can’t get them to set any earlier (even when I try to pollinate them myself) and there is no...
