My banana project

I have to tell you b/c this happened over night ~ I NOW have FOUR leaves on my main plant (Brat) and 4 on my sapsucker! We're getting outta-control here! There must be a batting average for 4 for 4 . :) Curbie
 


well........ I carry this daggone plant around ~ "You're INSIDE!" :) Now you're OUTSIDE!" My friend caught me carrying this plant outside and asked,"What are you growing now?" oh...i'm not going to tell you b/c this is really stupid...don't look. Ernie said,"MY GOSH you're growing a BANANA plant." nope :) ...but she likes Tina Turner and her name is 'Brat'! OUT of control in Olney :) ~ Curbie
 
That's great advice about the pot size, Wombat! :) I totally forgot about that.
Okay! Now I'm giving Curbie three A's! One for each banana tree and one for being out of control! :p I always give A's for that, even to me! :D
Btw, if you ever take another photo of the banana plant, please share! :)
I'm gonna try to be online more often now that my little brother finally has his internet account set up. I dont think he likes the filter, lol!
 
Oh geez....3 A's frighten me! Has anyone noticed I don't know what I'm doing? "Pay attention now....class is in session." It is in a plastic pot ~ not clay. Since Brat is growing, I think it's OK, for now. But I will DEFINITELY be scared in the summer. Maybe I can hide her in the basement....shhhhh....be quiet.. Trax, is this thing really going to break out of the pot? I cannot have a wandering banana plant. ~ Curbie :)
 
Yeah! :D It'll proly raid the kitchen and eat all the ice cream, LOL! I hope you have tons of cherries and toppings cause that's the only way to make great banana splits! :D
Actually, if it breaks out (and doesn't run away) it will still be easy to transplant without hurting it! :)
 
BUT WHAT am I tranplanting it into? I really want Brat to become a wonderful healthy ~ I don't know what I'm talking about. AND ICE CREAM WITH JIMMIES and a cherry is OFF LIMITS! (That's why I named her Brat. Oh, but I'm supposed to give up control). She seems happy as a clam right now. She hasn't said anything lately but I know what ♫ she likes. )She likes Michael Jackson, too.) ~ Curbie

Thanks, Ron. I had the plant outside yesterday and our cherry tree was definitely shedding which is why there are cherry blossoms on the plant and pot. Curbie :)
 
Awesome photos, Curbie! :D Omg! She already has cherries and there's no bananas on it yet! Will the ice cream be in the next photos? :)
 
Oh geez ...... all i'm trying to do is grow a daggone banana but Brat can have cherries if she'd like ~ blackberries, blueberries, strawberries... Should I hang them from the plant or is that another embarrassment? I am learning so much about being a banana farmer. :) Curbie

I have totally become attached to this stupid plant. I yell at her like she was my own Brat ~ "IF YOU DIE, I'm going to kill you and you'll never listen to Tina Turner again!SO PAY attention b/c WE want another leaf!". I really love this plant. Thank you , Wombat. Even MikeThe Mailman said,"This is really a neat plant." All I can say is that it's growing so far but I dno't really know what happens next :) ~ Curbie
 
i have leaf number 5 :) i have a new leaf ~ i have a new leaf. I AM on a ROLL! I don't know what to do with this plant ! But 'Brat' seems to be healthy and happy, listening to Tina Turner ~ "Rolli', rollin' , rollin', on the river." I am getting a wee bit tired of carrying her in and out of the house but once a Brat, always a Brat :) ~ :) Curbie
 
But now what do I do? Send it to you Wombat or Trax ? I think I'm outta my league. She really does love ♫. My daughter was down the other day and asked,"Why are you playing this ♫like this?" oh, b/c the banana tree really likes it ~ have you met Brat?WHOA ~ she said," >>>I <<<< thought>>>>I<<<< was your Brat," no ~ this has to do with this simple banana tree. whoops. I guess you can only call so many identities in your life ( Brat) b/c then they get confused. "Officer do you know I'm related to a Brat.. See I have this banana tree and a daughter and.....do you have any brats?" It should go over well :) ~ Curbie
 
No need to give your baby away, just keep moving her into bigger pots as she grows up. I'm sure that Trax will have some excellent advice for you regarding her care.
