Color is still lingering int the garden!
1/ Penstemon barbatus
2/ Prickly pear with mature fruit. The pads are starting to pump out excess water becoming lax and wrinkled for the winter months.
3/ Euphorbia x martinii 'Ascot Rainbow' is at it's best with cooler temps.

Thank you! I love this bush. It's very common cultivar Berberis thunbergii 'Atropurpurea Nana'. It has a little red berries in the autumn and small yellow flowers in spring.
 


Awesome! I love that Berberis bush and omg! You have cactus apples too, Ron! :D Are you gonna peel them and eat them or just burn the prickles off?

The pears are edible but are mostly seeds. I have to rub off the tiny barbs, but I think your suggestion of burning them off would work well!
They have a bland flavour and not sweet with around 26 seeds per fruit!
I think after a couple of frosts they will become sweeter!
