We had a nice day too but still no rain. I know it's 'going to' some day but sure hope it doesn't come in the form of a hurricane. But if it does that.......wet is wet. The air conditioner still works:o)

I hope MF has a good trip./......its wonderful that she will attend Mr Douglas's memorial.....he was a special man......

I'm sorry to miss it, but she will make two more trips south after this one and counting the one in May, that will be four trips this year for her. I will make the one in October with her. That's still a lot of travelling, but you have to do what you have to do. At least I won't have to drive in October. I'll take the train with her.

MF will be home on Wednesday. The service is tomorrow. I'm kind of wondering why she isn't staying a little longer down there in CA. But she will be going down again next month anyway.

We will avoiding Arlington Cemetary tomorrow as many of the bridges and roads will be closed for Mr. Kennedy's burial. Seems as if no matter how significant a name 'you' have, many miss 'your' contributions. So many should always be reminded of what they give, every day. Have to love those 'givers' ~Friday sermon is over :)

I drove over the mountain alone today since MF is down in California. I volunteered to help set up at the church today for the event tomorrow. That was sup[posed to happen from 10:00 until about 5:00. I went over there, but I was the only one there, so at 10:45 I headed home to do some computer time. I'll go back over after lunch. Surely someone will be there by then.

I have been watching Mr. Kennedy's funeral most of the day. Once again, I didn't know this man but he certainly had made a huge place in history. I cannot imagine how that family continues to even move their legs at this point.....the church service in Boston and now here in DC and then off to Arlington. I have a friend who is taking photos at Arlington. My friend is also military and does have a Press Pass. May we all leave behind us, something of such significance ~ kindness, hope, laughter, music, love ~ whatever is our strength. OK ~ seeds :)

I've been watching it off and on today. It's been a rainy, cool day here, got a fire going i n the fireplace.
Randy, sure hope they show up after lunch so things will be all ready for tomorrow. Hope u all have a nice day. I think Fiona posted something about it too today
Will be thinking of MF. I know this is hard on her. Glad she had a safe trip there and pray she has a safe one home.

They were there when I went back. So I got in on the bulk of the setup. I'm going to call to MF's brother's house and see if they are back there yet. I'm going to tease her a little bit and tell her I'm almost out of clothes. Actually, I did stop by the farm store today and buy a couple of pairs of new overalls. I bought one pair of the familiar blue ones and another pair of blue and white striped ones. Those are for dress. LOL

I want to see a pic of you in your dress overalls. Haven't seen a recent pic of you since u lost all that weight....

I wore them to church today. Several people commented on them. There weren't any unfavorable comments. I seem to remind a lot of people of their grandfathers.

Now wait a cotton-pickin' minute. Whatever gave you the idea that I wear bows? The only bows I wear are on my shoelaces, woman, or should I say RW? LOL

Now see....I lvoe watching CBS Sunday Morning at 9AM and Charles Osgood always wears a bow tie so I was wondering if ----to adorn your dress up overalls---you would wear a bow tie. I'll blame it on Charles Osgood ~

We talked last night for awhile. She will start back tomorrow night on the train. I will pick her up in Salem on Wednesday afternoon. She has this to do twice more in the next two months. I will join her though on the trip in October.
