I didn't remember that, but he is pretty good about that. I have Christmas music playing now and I love it. I can hear the record player though at the ends where I didn't edit closely enough. But that's okay. I need to get back to that DVD project and finish that, hopefully before Thanksgiving.
 
I went to the grocery store and intentionally got in the line of my favorite cashier b/c this elderly gentle man sings if I begin the song. Neither he nor I can remember all the words so here we are, at the checkout and Mike the cashier yells,"JACOB (another cashier)<<<< SING THE REST OF THIS SONG!" And wow.....talk about a concert. I did not know Jacob is a REAL pro. So Mike said to me, "ask him to sing Paper Moon". Then I began to harmonize with Jacob and Mike sang bass and I said,"Shoot, I'm going to get kicked out of this place again b/c we are holding up the lines." The people in lines applauded<<<<. It was hysterical. So I said,"Hm, finally a STANDING OVATION!" no, don't need any help putting my groceries in the car but thank you for asking..... ~ If my hubby knew...~ :)
 


I had a situation yesterday at the bank. The teller was not in her usual good spirits and she told me she had been in a car accident. I don't know anything about the accident, but I did try and cheer her up a little. As I turned away though there was a man waiting behind me and he had a nice smile on his face. A lot of people would have resented the extra few seconds that I had kept her occupied. I love this small town. I really would have loved to hear that thing going on at the market though. We can get so stressed out that something fun like that can really give the crew a lift.
 
I think 'we' tend to dwell on our own issues instead of thinking about how many folks have larger issues. Hubby consistently tells me not to give money to hte people on the median strip b/c they will use it for_ _ _ _ _ _. THEY MAY be trying to feed themselves or their family ~ STOP THE CAR! I'll buy the FLOWERS." then i get in trouble because i give them away to the cars behind...... I pay tolls for people behind me. Does that HURT. OK, so Mz. Fixed Income has a 'bad' habit. Folks who are having a crummy day should have something nice happen for them ~ if I irritated you....well....you were having a rotten day anyway so.... (Barney song: "I hate you ~ you hate me ~ but you're purple but not me.") The Safeway (grocery store) was a miracle ~ Crummy :).
 
I don't remember if I ever told you about the time (more than several) that I went to the bank and as I approached the teller, I spoke in a voice loud enough for others to hear, "I want to lodge a complaint." This same quick-witted teller immediately pointed to the next window. I still do it on occasion just to get a smile. I've done the same at the credit union also and they don't take me seriously either.
 
You sound a lot like myself, Randy. When I say,"NOW LOOK! I'm beginning to get angry", I laugh b/c I mostly gave up anger many years ago. Even the kids in my neighborhood who come by laugh when I say,"hey.....i'm going to get angry about this..." Oh, Mrs. C., now you're making US laugh b/c you don't get angry.... I did about 8 years ago when one of them stole my camera and I did get angry last January. It was January 2nd. :)

I live it a big city but a suburb of Houston Randy. Sometimes at the bank inside the grocery store I go to occasionaly the line gets long. I needed to get some cash back from my transaction and the little teller commented that I looked different. I told her yes my hair was shorter now due to my having had brain surgery and my scalp being very sensitive I had to keep my hair short. She went on to ask some questions about my surgery and how I was now doing and in the line next to me a gentleman started talking to us and we were holding up two linse and speaking of the blessings in our life. No one complained after we finished and went on our way, everyone I looked at had a smile on their faces as I walked away. It is nice to see people no always rushing us long and having a harsh look on their faces.

I don't think one bank is all that much different than another, but those people that work there makes all the difference in the world. Christmas is coming soon and I need to deal with my three special groups. I have taken jam in to the bank so each employee could have a jar. I haven't done that now for a couple of years though and it is time. Last year I took in a pie. The firemen, oops, I mean firefighters, will get cookies. There are quite a few other people though that remember the firefighters. But I think I am the only one that takes stuff in to the post office and bank. I need to count heads the next time I go in.
 


Had a busy day today, but a good part of it was self-induced. I was working on the music files this afternoon and converting the 'wma' files (Windows Media Audio) to 'wav' files. The 'wav' files take up more space on a computer but they also are the best in quality of sound and will play on most CD players. I want to put together a couple more discs and then get a couple off in the mail to Arkansas.
 
ARkansas???? NOW I have to MOVE ! I think I'd like it there :) ~Curbie (P.S. I don't have a clue what you are talking about with 'women' and 'waves' )
 
I have today of as it is Veterans Day..
and guess what I get to go do?

I have to go get my braces fitted today..:(

I am so not looking forward to having to wear them

I doubt you will ever like them, Sailor, but if they help you it will make them worthwhile. I believe they will help you even more than you think. And yes, you deserve a hearty 'thank you' also for serving our country.
