Raining here again. Its been a rainy summer, with hot spells in between, already had 3 different
stretches of 90 and another on the way, first one fried a lot of my veggie garden as it was saturated
replanted cukes, beans and zucchini also due to rotting, 60s now and raining, tomorrow 80s and muggy
 
same as yesterday and tomorrow. start out in the 70's going to 90's by noon and in 100's in afternoon. Too hot to do anything after noon.
 


We are back to very nice weather now as the Pacific has brought in a westerly breeze and dropped the temperature while providing scattered cumulus clouds. The temperature was in the mid 50's when I first went outside this morning and in the high 60's right now. We will get into the 70's before the day is over.
 
Same as yesterday. Hot. Sunny and Not advised to go out in afternoon. We do have some rain predicted for next week. We will see when next week gets here.
 
We reached a high yesterday of 75 degrees and it was a couple of degrees higher in Portland. It was 53 degrees awhile ago and we will climb to about 75 again today. Then we will start to climb again to what is our normal daytime cycle which is a high in the mid 80's.
 
we finally got a reprieve from the HHH weather last night......great to have the windows opened again......but not for long, as the HHH weather is coming back with a vengence on monday.....HHH and 90's all next week......ugh
 
The HHH started yesterday and will continue pretty much all week!
With the high humidity, and da,y time heating we can expect pop up thunderstorms in the evenings!

Weather here is pretty much the same as Randy's! high today was 75F and nights are down to 60-65F tomorrow supposed to be warming up and tuesday into mid 80's, will help my beans get growing!
Randy!! hubby and I got to each eat one beautiful ripe marrionberry today!! we like how they are a bit sweeter than blackberries, same basic flavor but a bit different! And the berries are much bigger too. I like that the thorns are not as long as well! the plant is really growing like crazy I'm so glad I was able to get one here!! The black berries are just starting to ripen none actually ripe yet so I don't know if the marrionberry is earlier ripening, or if it did because I bought it already growing from the nursery in the spring. I made a big double batch of blackberry jelly a few days ago with all the berries we still had in the freezer from last year!

well the HHH is back with a vengenance.......tomorrow will be 90 but with the humidity, will feel like 99.......I wish I didnt have to go out of the house.....but its back to work.....
 
Yesterday was nasty, but today will be even hotter with a higher humidity level!
88F for the high with a 104F humidex!
77F right now and barely a breeze!
 
It is 72 and raining this morning. We need the rain badly. Austin had only had .14 of an inch but surrounding communities had had over 5 inches of rain this morning. We've had more than Austin but less than the 5 inches. Our lakes are between 37 and 42% full right now.
 
It will be warmer here today. It cooled down to about 50 degrees on Saturday night, but not last evening. We are starting warmer this morning, about 60 degrees, and will climb to about 88 degrees for a high.

Janet, I am glad that berry is doing well. I believe they are the most popular blackberry here in Oregon although there are still some other good ones. The Obsidian Blackberry is another Oregon State cultivar and isn't quite as tart as the Marionberry and is a bit larger. But the tartness of the Marionberry is what most people like about it.
 
Ron, sounds like we have the same weather......was 99 with the heat index today.....more the same for the next 4 days.....

This high pressure system is sitting over us and is not expected to move until the weekend!
82F and going up to 88F... Blah!!!
Cannot do much outside!

The tomatoes, pepper, eggplants, cucs and squash are loving this heat and are growing fast!!!
 
I don't have any idea how much rain we had yesterday but when it wasn't raining it was pleasant out. Went to the store once when it was quitting and got the mail another time. The temps were in the 80's yesterday and it looks like today will be a repeat of yesterday. My plants are enjoying this . I swear the sweet potato plants have grown a foot.
 
I think all of us east of the Mississippi are getting same weather. Hotter than heck here and it's suppose to get worse. By Thurs dew points in the mid 70's.. I have a feeling this is the way our summers are going to be. We've had so many days already in the 90's this yr and August is not here yet. 90+ and very humid...
 


we had 95 today and with the heat index was 99.....NYC was 103.......its all that concrete down there....haha......sure wish we would get a break, but it wont be until fri.....we are breaking records with all the rain in the spring, and 90's this summer.....ugh.....
