I checked the temperature before the sun came up and it was 36 degrees. It is 39 degrees now and with the clear sky I see we will probably break into the 50's today. I can handle that.
boy randy, could you send us those 50's.....we really need a warm up.
got up to 16 today, but dont be deceived, it was brutally frigid outside......
Ron what are you hearing about this alberta clipper thats coming our way on sunday??????
Good point, Ron!
It's 10*F

with a 1*F wind chill!

No way I'm going outside! Maybe I'll just hibernate till spring!

-2F
Windchill is -20!
Tomorrow evening the winds start up as a low pressure system moves in.
It is bringing snow with it! Not sure how much but it will be blowing around!
There is a warm front attached to this system so winds will more then likely be out of the SW and very strong!!!

Not sure what we have in store for us today. I haven't stuck my nose out of the bedroom yet this morning. I'm hoping for a day like yesterday though. I thoroughly enjoyed that sunshine.
we had sunshine, but no heat in it......at least the days are a bit longer......it was another bitterly cold day, with some wind.....and a high of 16......we are expecting snow for tomorrow.......1 to 3 inches.......
keep warm boys and girls.......o'cast today with passing showers 86F, very humid

The low arrived last evening with a vengence!!
The propane fireplace died in the evening, and could not restart it even after taking it apart and vaccuuming all the parts....tried again this morning and it's working..
Had to depend on the propane wall furnace in the living room, but with the gale/hurracane force winds it was difficult to keep the temps warm enough!
We handed up going to bed early with lots of extra blankets!
Now that the fireplace is working the temp in the sunroom is inching up....It was 45F now 50F!!!
The winds continue to howl and we have huge drifts everywhere!
Still blizzard/whiteout conditions!
We were very lucky that the power didn't go out yesterday and overnight since we have 2 electric heaters set on high to help kill the chill!!!
23F and that will be our high for today....
Expecting the winds and snow to continue for most of the day!
We are bundled up in our winter coats and sipping cofffee, so we are doing well!!
its 17 here and the snow started about 9:30am......a little late, but its making up for lost time....the winds are howling and the snow is sideways now.....did all my running around early this morning and Im staying put for the rest of the day......
glad you got the fireplace going Ron,........and kept your power......with these winds, its the one thing I worry about.....
It's 70*F and sunny!

Feels like spring! I clipped a lot of dead plants out of the gardens and I'll be doing some digging too.
Sounds a lot like Siberia up north!

Let us know if you need anything... life supports... emergency evac... vacations in Hawaii...
vacations in hawaii sounds good Trax.......send us tickets........
still snowing here and piling up......about 4 inches now.....Ive had enough, make it stop!!!
similar day to y'day here........going fishing tomorrow as it's a pub. hol. here....should be great, warm currents are flowing, the ocean temp is 76F....today still humid and 85F

Another Alberta Clipper is moving in bringing more snow this afternoon!
Warm front already moved through and the temp is rising slowly!
Winds are light out of the SSW shifting from the west this evening as another cold front comes through!
9F going up to 23 this afternoon.
Could get anywhere from 4" to 8"s of blowing snow!!

We're getting slammed again. It's 28*F and that's the high for today too. Going to drop to 18*F tonight but at least we get snow!

12F and sunny for a change!!
Will be dropping to 9F this afternoon...
Winds are out of the west....
Glad I didn't bother to dig the car out yesterday! The snow and blowing snow yesterday afternoon and ovenight produced an even larger drifts and the driveway is blocked!
I'll be going over to get the snow blower later to start clearing a way to the car and clear out the driveway!
Only around 10 inches fell, but the winds off the lake piled the snow into huge drifts and pushed a lot of the snow from off the lake inland!
With the light winds out of the west now there is still some drifting occuring!
Windchill is is -11F!!!
