Cloudy with light winds out of the NE.
Might get up to 27 this afternoon with mainly sunny skies.
It may be cold but at least we are not getting any gale force winds out of the SW!!
It has been a nice break....
Expecting some snow tomorrow from a system out of the NW, probably a few inches!
We really need a week of warmer temps to get rid of some of this snow cover!
We are hoping for a slow thaw because there are areas that are going to get flooded if this snow pack melts too quickly when it finally starts to warm up!
According to the farmer down the road, this has been the worst winter in 15 years!!

The only nice thing about this winter is that all my cactus, in pots and in the gardens, are well insulated under a thick layer of snow!
 
no rain .a bit warmer and even a cal for a few sun breaks today...I sure hope they have guessed correctly..
 
I heard the rain during the night also. Hope it slacks off at least part of the time during the day.
 


we are in one heck of a snow storm here on the NE.........2 inches per hour and piling up......its supposed to turn to freezing rain lateron....I sure hope not.....they are saying totals will be from a foot to 18 inches when it stops tomorrow morning at 10am.....over 24 hours of snow falling.......what a mess!.....roads are already slick......

It has been one hell of a winter!

Nothing happening here!
Been seeing heavy clouds to the east and southeast, so figured you were in for it!
 
OMG we have about 14 inches now, and there is a lull.....we moved our cars for the plow to clean up.....piles all around up to 30 feet high......the next part is coming after midnight, with 2 - 3 inches per hour and another 8 inches by morning......we will end up with alot of white stuff.......they really need to scoop up the snow in the parking lot and take it to the hudson river to get rid of it.....as I heard there is another storm coming on sat......it sure has been a winter from hell......
 
I just read a news feed about the deadly snowstorms in the NE. :eek: I never realized it was that epic! Stay safe everybody up there.

It's 43*F and we're going up to 58*F today and sunny. It was so warm today, I didn't even need a sweater or hoodie. If the weather guessers are right, it's gonna be like early spring for the next 10 days.
All the snow we had melted.
 
well more snow after midnight just as they predicted.....it poured snow....I was up at 2:30am looking out the window.....woke up to another 6 or 7 inches of snow......then they tell us the plow broke.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr how do you have only one plow with no backup doing a senior complex????????????? so neighbors helped other neighbors clean out their cars so we can go to work.....at least the plow made a sweep thru to escape the place.....Im hearing we got all in total 22 inches.....Im sure thinking about you laurie and hope your ok and didnt get this junk.....

oh and happy valentines day.....
 
We are having a lot of rain. I don't hear it now but it was pretty heavy during the night. We got up into the 50's yesterday. I was working outside with no jacket but I did have my longies on.
 


I feel for you Woodie, Laurie and others along the east coast area!

All we got was a dusting of snow.....expecting a meltdown starting next week!!

stay warm and safe boys and girls...good to see that temps are rising in some areas........very warm one today...96F predicted....morning at the beach I reckon....will also bring my fishing gear...
 
well finally the plow came back to dig us out.......went to work at noon.....it did get up to 35 this afternoon so lots of melting.......still I worry about all that snow on the roof.....we are supposed to get a warm up next week too.....later in the week......we need it now tho!!!!!
 
We are expecting 36F+ by Thursday....warming a bit each day....so it will happen,.... we really need a week long thaw so we can have running water again!!!
Handed up going to a small town this afternoon that has a laundromat.....didn't use the dryers there, just washed and rebagged damp to bring home so I can use our dryer!

this really has been a winter from hell.......more snow is expected tonight.....hope it doesnt come tho....think we have enough......its still warm out tonight so lots of melting but it would take a week of 60's to get rid of what we have right now......send that warm air up my way Ron.....we both need a winter thaw which never came this yr....maybe its later this week.....what a blessing that would be....
 
gloomy outside and snowing right now.......guess its the clipper they told us about yesterday.......hope it doesnt bring much more.....
 
Now they are saying Tuesday high 30F ...Weds, high 36 and ....Thursday 41F... so it does look promising this coming week!

Had around an 2"s of snow last evening and overnight.
19F going up to 21 then down to 1 tonight....
 
we had snow all day, but it only amounted to about 2 inches.......that was enough on top of the 22 inches thurs and fri.....
I see the temps will go up the end of the week.....40's.....and Im sure looking forward to that........
 


plenty of rain today, but mild. been getting back out for walks again which is very nice. It stays light until about 6 now so I am a lot happier. We have also had lot's of sun breaks in between the clouds. I thought the house was going to blow away 2 nights ago though.... they said we are going to get the same tonight.
