Had a thunderstorm rumble through last evening and had a bit of rain....
63F with just a bit of high thin clouds this morning.
Very light winds out of the NE now that we are on the cooler side of the front...
70 for the high this afternoon.....
 
The little bit of rain we had yesterday barely dampened the ground. We are at 46 degrees right now with a cloudy sky.
 


This morning it was warm and humid in Austin. We got an additional inch of rain yesterday. Have no idea what happened with the weather there as we drove up here to Shawnee for Rebecca's high school graduation. Randy remember Rebecca in the corn crop before she started school ? And doing the garden for a Girl Scout silver award?

55F with a few puffy clouds..
Light wind out of the NE again...
Might get up to 72 this afternoon.
The general trend will be slightly below normal temps for June with occasional hot periods!
I find it strange that the dominant wind direction is out of the NE rather then from the SW....
Only times we get it out of the SW is when active weather moves in from mid west...
 
I do remember that, Lyn. I was trying to remember awhile back how long we have known each other and if memory serves me correctly, our acquaintance goes back about 18 years.

I haven't been outside yet today so I don't know yet what the temperature is. It rained during the night and our sky is still cloudy, but the weather guessers are saying that it is going to clear and be nice over the next few days.

sunny, sticky and 60 here this morning......we are supposed to get heavy downpours lateron....with maybe hail.....
 


Our day was perfect here today. It was clear and bright this morning with a temperature of 51 degrees but it climbed to 75 degrees by afternoon. I got the garden all tilled with the help of my daughter. It's ready to plant.
 
Was 94 here in Austin. I was in the car and we had good weather on the drive home.

sunny this morning with a strong chilly breeze......it will warm up to 70's lateron.....
 
It is beautiful out right now but will be hot this afternoon. Welcome to summer in Texas. It is 78 degrees North wind at 1 mph, dew point 68, humidly at 71%, visibility at 10 miles, pressure 1013.1 MB, UV index 2 low. High to be 85.

tonight I got right into the forum.......guess I showed the computer who is boss ......tee hee....
today was a bust......it was supposed to be 77.......didnt get above 60.....the wind was horrendous....and chilly......
 
It's 68*F and cloudy but that will burn off and we'll hit 90*F today! It's been so quiet this spring. No tornadoes and not many t-storms.
It's also been the coldest spring I've ever seen. But all of my 13 varieties of peppers are up almost a foot tall and healthy. And the Brandywine, Beefmaster, and cherry toms are even bigger. This could be one of the best seasons ever.

Got all my peppers potted up and are doing great....I always pot the seedlings up into tall 4"pots so they can root up....the cherokee purple toms are doing great and around 9" tall......will be prepping the garden and planting them in another week.....everything is slow this year, but are expecting a longer growing season with a warmer then normal fall....
