It looks to be a type of cuphea to me. Maybe Cuphea llavea?
WOW!!!!
Thank You Jade!
I think you are right it looks like Cuphea llavea.
I have NO idea how it got in my planter?
I guess I need to move it?
Do you think it would do ok in a pot? Or do I need to put it in the ground?
THANK YOU SO MUCH for the ID!

It would be fine in a pot or in the ground.
Very pretty Treva. Thanks for sharing. I had never seen this variety before!
I remember growing that one at the one wholesale place where I worked, I think that they called it batface cuphea. It has purple 'ears', right?
Thank You Friends! Yes its such a pretty flower!
I can NOT figure out how I ended up with it though???
So any advice? Will it spread? Will it come back?
Any suggestions are appreciated!
Does it seed?
Should it be in a pot of its own?
The planter it is in is fullof other plants!
Thank You so much latebloomer!
Looks like I really need to move it! lol
Treva,

Looks like it is pretty hardy. I had the "Matchless" cigar plant but it didn't like our hard freezes. Seems like this bat-face is good to 20 degrees.
