The flying dragon is better known as the hardy orange and they are the dwarf form of trifoliate orange. The flying dragon citrus thrives when grown in USDA plant hardiness zones five through nine. The flying dragon citrus is actually a deciduous shrub that grows from eight to twenty feet in height with an almost equal spread. Almost ninety-five percent of the Flying Dragon seeds can germinate if they are stratified before they are planted.
