Hiya,
I got this hydrangea in either April or May. I had it planted out in full sun and it slowly shrank down to this size; it was a few inches larger and flowering when I bought it. I cut it back a little (maybe that was a mistake) and gave it some time and it's still not looking better. So today I moved it to a spot that gets part sun/part shade and I'm hoping maybe it will do better. I also amended the soil at the new location with Jobe's Organic All Purpose fertilizer.
I also plan to mulch the new area tomorrow, I'm thinking woodchips. Does anyone have any other idea that might help the little hydrangea out? If it doesnt improve by winter should I cut it down to the ground?
And here's the new spot it's in:
