8 medium sweet potatoes
2 T. butter
1/4 c. hot milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg, optional
1/2 lb. mini marshmallows
Cook sweet potatoes until tender, peel and mash. When smooth beat in butter, milk, spices, add spices. Spoon into buttered baking dish. Add marshmallows and bake at 350 degrees until marshmallows are golden brown.
Note: If potatoes are soft enough when whipped you may not need to add the milk to mixture.
Note: You can add 1 cup chopped walnuts or 1 cup of raisins into the mashed cooked sweet potatoes mixture.
